Welcome to Aspley Guise and District Riding Club
Our mission is to help our members have FUN with their horses. Simple as that really!
We aren’t British Dressage, we aren’t British Showjumping, and we certainly aren’t British Eventing. They do their jobs very well so we’ll leave them to it. We are, however, a well established BRC affiliated riding club based in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas. The club provides competitive and non-competitive events targeted at our members who ride for enjoyment, who want to ‘have a go’ in a no-pressure environment, learning and improving along the way. Oh yes, and we like to have a giggle too…
So, if you’d like to find out more, feel free to have a cruise around the site to see what we have planned. Clinics, competitions and social activities – whatever your level and discipline, we’re bound to have something to offer you and your 4 legged equine pal. Even better, become a member and you’ll have subsidised entry to everything and if you’re canny, you’ll earn back your membership fee with what you’ve saved in no time at all. Win, win all round.
Our aim
The mission of the club is for everyone to enjoy their horse.
History
The club was formed back in the late 1970s by a group of local riders for people who lived and kept their horses in and around the village of Aspley Guise, on the border of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire near Milton Keynes, in the south Midlands of England. Before long the Club’s membership extended across all the surrounding English counties as well as the nearby cities of Oxford, Cambridge and London. The Aspley Guise & District Riding Club soon became well-known for its well-attended horse shows, dressage and show jumping competitions and other activities like horse trials, one-day events and cross-country competitions.
